The variety is a winter wheat whose genetic line is based on the crossing of the varieties Apollo and Rendezvous. The variety underwent registration trials in the UK in the late 1990s, but did not receive wide commercial distribution.
In scientific literature, the variety was used to study resistance mechanisms to diseases such as yellow rust and Septoria. Research was also conducted on its physiological characteristics, including green leaf area index (GLAI) indicators under field trial conditions.
