The variety is a product of the modified bulk selection method. Regarding most agronomic characteristics, including baking quality and protein content, it is similar to the Yellowstone variety, outperforming it in test weight.
The plant has moderate resistance to stripe rust, but is susceptible to leaf rust. The variety is intended for cultivation in the northern and central regions of Montana.
