The variety belongs to soft wheat and, during the period of its popularity, was one of the most widely cultivated varieties in Italy. In professional literature, it is considered an old variety and is currently not present in commercial production.
Grain quality is characterized by average indicators; noted are the presence of dough viscosity and low falling number potential under various weather conditions. During breeding studies in the 1970s, the variety was an object of study for resistance to fungal diseases, in particular to rust.
