The «Kyivs'ka 8» variety is characterized as a high-quality grain variety of soft winter wheat, belonging to the mid-maturity group. The variety shows a medium degree of resistance to wheat thrips infestation.

This variety was actively used in breeding work as a parental form for creating new wheat varieties, due to which it is frequently mentioned in the genealogy of other agricultural crops.
