The variety is mid-ripening, the growing season lasts 300–310 days. The stem height varies from 75 to 125 cm. It is characterized by high resistance to shattering, however, data on lodging resistance are contradictory. Resistance to brown rust is assessed as medium or insufficient.
The grain of the variety is large, red in color, of oval-elongated shape. The thousand kernel weight is 38–50 g. The variety possesses good baking qualities and was widely used in breeding work as reference material with high winter hardiness.
