The variety «Retro» was included in the official descriptive variety lists (Beschreibende Sortenliste) of Germany. The 2010 and 2012 documentation contains numerical data of characteristics reflecting its biological properties, quality indicators, resistance to diseases and lodging.
A detailed text description of morphological traits, breeding history and the origin of parental lines are not presented in open publications. The variety was intended for commercial cultivation in the climatic conditions of Germany.
