The winter soft wheat variety Samanta is used in agronomic research as a standard sample for evaluating the economic efficiency, yield, and developmental timing of new varieties.

During trials, the average yield of the variety was 7.2 t/ha, which allowed it to be used for comparing heading and ripening indicators with other Czech breeding lines.
