The variety «Salut» (k-58035) is a sample of Swedish breeding of soft winter wheat. In scientific research, it is studied as a genetic resource, in particular regarding resistance to stress factors, including pre-harvest sprouting (enzymatic-mycotic depletion of seeds).
The variety «Салют Алтая» is durum spring wheat for pasta production. It is characterized as a mid-season variety, resistant to loose smut and tolerant to root rots and frit fly, with average drought tolerance and lodging resistance.
A historical Soviet wheat variety «Салют», developed using shuttle breeding methods, is also mentioned, however, detailed data on its modern classification and morphological traits are absent.
