The variety «Tonka» was created as a result of breeding the line Osk. 8.37-10-91 / Srpanjka. This variety is included in the institute's scientific work as a specimen of local breeding intended for agricultural production in the conditions of the Pannonian Basin region.
Precise morphological characteristics of the plant, maturity indicators, and detailed data on disease resistance are not presented in open sources. The variety is used in studies for the analysis of grain quality indicators and the study of the genetic diversity of the crop.
