The winter wheat variety Vega was present in registries from 1992 to 2001. Its registration was cancelled in the autumn of 2000, due to which detailed morphological characteristics of the plant and grain quality indicators are absent in available reference books.

In professional literature, the variety is mentioned as a carrier of rust resistance genes, in particular the Yr2 gene. At the moment, the variety is historical; current agronomic data for it are not maintained.
