Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is short-stemmed and is distinguished by a stiff stem, which provides good lodging resistance. Genetically, the variety possesses resistance to Septoria, due to the presence of the Stb5 gene.

Grain quality is evaluated as low for bread-making, however, flour from this variety is suitable for the manufacture of biscuits. The variety is characterized by moderate yield potential and, during the 1990s, was often used as a standard when conducting variety trials and disease resistance research.
