The variety «Deyche» was created at the Institute of Field Crops in the city of Chirpan, Bulgaria. It represents a specimen of modern Bulgarian breeding and is considered in scientific literature as a component of genetic collections for the analysis of allelic composition.

Studies of high-molecular-weight glutenins of this variety show the presence of specific protein patterns, which can be used in the breeding process as donors for modifying the qualitative characteristics of gluten.

The variety is intended for use in the food industry for the production of pasta and groats, where the key quality criteria are the content of protein and yellow pigments.
