The variety belongs to the medium development cycle group. In scientific research, Demetra is characterized as a wheat with low dough strength, which is associated with the expression characteristics of low-molecular-weight glutenin subunit alleles, and does not possess high baking quality indicators.

In a number of studies, the variety is mentioned as a carrier of the leaf rust resistance gene Lr34. The main purpose of the variety is its use in breeding programs for comparing the characteristics of different wheat genotypes.
