The variety is characterized as high-yielding with grain quality indicators above average and a high gluten content. It is intended for processing into pasta and groats. The variety has been actively used in the Mediterranean region both for production purposes and as a control sample in scientific research.

Morphologically, the variety is distinguished by the color of the awns ranging from light brown to dark brown. The outer surface of the glume has no pubescence.
