The variety is intended for cultivation in the regions of Southern Italy and on the islands. The breeding process utilized a genetic base including local Sardinian lines and genotypes from the CIMMYT and ICARDA research centers.

During 2022 trials, the yield of the variety reached 49 c/ha. Protein content in the grain meets the standards for durum wheat grown in southern areas. Breeding programs focus on maintaining the varietal purity of seed material.
