The Sicilian landrace Preziosa is a mid-early variety historically cultivated in the hilly regions of Sicily. The plant is adapted to organic farming conditions and is valued for the biochemical composition of the grain, including the content of phenolic compounds, vitamins, and minerals, which makes it suitable for the production of high-quality pasta.

The modern variety Preziosa KWS is intended for intensive or standard field cultivation. In official European registers, it is mentioned in the wheat sections; however, detailed morphological characteristics and disease resistance data for this variety are presented primarily in specialized technical tables in the public domain.
