The variety is intended for the production of pasta, couscous, and bulgur. It is characterized by a high content of carotenoid pigments, which gives the products a golden color. The variety exhibits a very strong phenol staining reaction.

In breeding practice, the variety is used as a parental form in hybridization to create new high-yielding lines with improved technological qualities. Its increased resistance to the granary weevil has also been noted.
