The variety Efeso (breeding number SY 516090) is intended for use as a raw material for pasta production. During testing, the high yield of the crop and its good overall productivity were confirmed.

The plant possesses significant field tolerance to Fusarium head blight. The level of deoxynivalenol mycotoxin accumulation in the grain is reduced by 20–35% compared to susceptible varieties, which allows for minimizing the risk of contamination of final products.
