SENELLART PATRICE
10 August 2026
The Appio variety was developed in Italy following the introduction of the Creso variety to meet the needs of industrial grain processing. Its genealogy is based on a combination of the cross Cappelli × Gaviota × Yuma.
In scientific publications, the variety is considered in the context of plant physiology studies. It is classified as a variety with low grain protein content and is characterized by the dependence of yield and product quality on the temperature regime during the grain-filling period and the level of nitrogen nutrition.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
