SENELLART PATRICE
10 August 2026
The Alpe variety is mentioned in scientific literature in the context of studying genetic and biochemical features of common wheat. Research focused on the analysis of gliadins and high-molecular-weight glutenin subunits to evaluate the baking characteristics of the grain.
During the work, scientists identified two biotypes of the variety that had morphological similarities but differed in gluten quality and the content of specific protein compounds. The variety was used in Italian breeding programs of the indicated period; however, detailed agronomic characteristics of the plant are absent in available sources.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
