SENELLART PATRICE
10 August 2026
The Asiago variety is not intended for mass commercial production. In scientific research, it is used as a biological marker (differential variety), which allows scientists to determine the races of plant disease pathogens, in particular tan spot.
The plant possesses a specific reaction to various pathogens, which makes it a tool for laboratory and greenhouse diagnostics. The variety does not appear in agronomic reference books for general agriculture, and its description is limited to its role in phytopathological research.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
