The variety originated from the genetic material of the Creso variety, obtained during the Green Revolution based on Italian and Mexican lines. It is intended primarily for the food industry, particularly for the manufacturing of pasta products.

The plant possesses high yield potential, however, it is insufficiently adapted to conditions of severe drought and heat. The variety contains the leaf rust resistance gene Lr14a, although cases of its infection by new races of the pathogen have been recorded.

The quality of the product is ensured by a specific composition of HMW-glutenin proteins, which is an important technological indicator for the production of pasta.
