The 'Atlas' variety belongs to the late double tulip group. The flowers have a double, peony-like shape and a bicolored coloration, combining a red base color with bright yellow accents.

The variety possesses high keeping quality and ease of handling after cutting. The origin of the variety is linked to the crossbreeding combination of Strong Gold x Herman. It is used primarily for ornamental purposes.
