The variety belongs to fringed tulips. The flower has a dark maroon, dark violet or almost black color with a more intense tone in the center and a dense needle-like fringe along the petal edges. The goblet height is 7–9 cm, the plant height itself reaches 45–50 cm, the peduncle is sturdy, leaves are green.

The variety is mid-late, the flowering period falls on April-May and lasts 10–14 days. The plant possesses frost resistance and belongs to USDA zones 3–4. The variety propagates easily, is suitable for cutting and forcing, and is used in landscape design for decorating flower beds and mixed borders.
