The variety belongs to the Single Late class. The flower has a goblet shape, the bud height is 6–9 cm. The color is deep, chocolate-maroon or dark purple, the base of the flower is black, the pistil is light yellow, and the anthers are purple.
The plant reaches a height of 40–50 cm, possesses strong resilient peduncles and glaucous-green narrow leaves. Flowering occurs in May. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness (USDA zone 3–4) and suitability for cutting, landscaping, and forcing.
