Caracas tulip belongs to the group of early double varieties. The flowers have a peony-like shape, and their color varies from deep orange to reddish and yellow tones. In the phase of full opening, the bud diameter can reach 10 cm.

The plant has strong blue-green foliage and reaches a height of 30–45 cm. Flowering occurs in the period from March-April to May. Due to the weight of the heavy double flowers, the peduncles may bend under the influence of precipitation.

The variety is suitable for forcing; with cooling at 9°C, the forcing period is about 24 days starting in January. In cut form, it retains freshness for 7–10 days; it is also used in landscape design for borders and container gardening.
