The Cuban Night tulip variety belongs to the class of fringed tulips. The plant reaches a height of 40–55 cm and has a flower 7–9 cm high with a dense needle-like fringe on the petal edges. The petals may have a light waxy bloom.

The variety is late-flowering; the flowering period occurs in late April – May. The plant has strong stems resistant to spring bad weather. The variety is suitable for cutting, container growing, and landscape design. Forcing in greenhouses is possible if a cooling period of about 17 weeks is observed.

The plant prefers sunny locations or areas with light partial shade, protected from the wind. The soil should be fertile, loose, and well-drained. Care includes moderate watering, loosening, and fertilizing.
