The variety belongs to the group of fringed tulips. Plant height varies from 40 to 60 cm. The large flower reaches 7–9 cm in height and 5–10 cm in diameter. The color of the petals is saturated, dark purple, with characteristic needle-like fringe on the edges.

Flowering occurs from the end of April to May. The variety is undemanding, resistant to weather conditions, and possesses good propagation ability. When grown in poorly drained soil, it may be susceptible to rot or Botrytis tulipae.

The tulip is highly valued as a cut flower crop that maintains freshness for a long time. The variety is suitable for forcing in various substrates or water, and is also used for planting in flower beds, borders, and containers.
