Variety description

The Double Shake tulip variety belongs to the double late tulips group. The plant reaches a height of 30 to 50 cm and is characterized by blooming in April–May. The flower has a peony shape and reaches a diameter of 10–12 cm when fully open.

The petal coloration of the variety varies from creamy-white to ivory with pink or purple-crimson strokes and margins. The variety possesses a pleasant fragrance, high winter hardiness corresponding to USDA zone 3, and drought tolerance; however, its large flowers are sensitive to wind and rain.

The plant is used for decorative landscaping of gardens, flower beds, borders, and is suitable for container gardening and cut flower arrangements.
