The Flowerdale variety belongs to the Greigii tulip group. The plant height is about 20 cm. The leaves possess decorative properties characteristic of this group and often have a spotted or striped coloration.
The flowers can be red-yellow or yellow-orange. Inside the cup, they are yellow with a deep red shade; on the outside, the petals are red with a wide yellow border. The flowering period falls in March-April; the variety is characterized as mid-early.
The plant prefers sunny locations and fertile, well-drained soils. It is used in landscape design for decorating flower beds and borders, and is also suitable for cultivation in containers and for cut flowers.
