The Matchmaker tulip variety belongs to the Triumph tulip group. The plant reaches a height of 45–60 cm and has strong, stable stems. The goblet-shaped flower has a soft pink shade, and the bud height is 6–10 cm.

The variety is early-flowering and suitable for forcing, which requires cooling the bulbs at a temperature of +9 °C for 14 weeks; water forcing is possible. It is used for landscape design and commercial cultivation for cut flowers. The variety is characterized as low-maintenance and resistant to lodging.
