The variety possesses flowers 5–5.5 cm in length of a saturated deep-black color (code N187A). The petals have a uniform coloring, creating a velvety effect. The height of the plant stem is approximately 38 cm.

The plant belongs to the group of early tulips and is sometimes classified as a Triumph group variety. Cultivation requires a cold period of approximately 16 weeks; the forcing period indoors is approximately 21 days.
