The variety belongs to the Single Late tulip group. The petal color ranges from deep purple and eggplant to almost black, with a velvety texture. The plant height is 50–70 cm; the stems are noted for their strength and straightness.

Flowering occurs in May. The variety is intended for use in garden plantings and is suitable for cutting. The plant requires soils without excessive moisture.
