The Purple Jacket variety belongs to the group of double late tulips. The plant reaches a height of 40–50 cm. The flower is double, peony-shaped, and at full bloom the bud diameter is 10–15 cm.
Flowering begins in late April — May. The variety is characterized as relatively undemanding, with strong peduncles and resistance to bad weather. Winter hardiness corresponds to zones 3–5, which allows it to withstand frosts down to –34...–40 °C. It is used for landscaping and cutting.
