The variety is classified as a Triumph tulip. The flower has a goblet shape and a rich dark purple-red hue, corresponding to code 53A on the color scale.

A distinctive feature of the variety is the grayish-colored peduncles with a metallic sheen. The height of a single goblet-shaped flower is about 5–5.5 cm.
