The variety belongs to the Double Early Group class of tulips. The flowers are double, peony-shaped, rich dark red in color, sometimes with a crimson tint or creamy-yellow streaks at the base of the petals. The bud height is 5–7 cm, the diameter of the opened flower is 5–8 cm. The plant reaches a height of 35–50 cm, has long narrow green leaves, and possesses a light sweet fragrance.

Flowering in open ground occurs in April to early May. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases, pests, temperature fluctuations, and rain, and possesses winter hardiness. For forcing, cooling at +9 °C for 15 weeks is required; the process can begin from December 10, and the forcing period is approximately 21 days. Cut flowers maintain their decorative appearance for up to two weeks.
