The variety belongs to the Triumph group and blooms in mid-spring. The flower color is bright yellow: according to the classification, the outer side of the petals has a canary yellow shade with inclusions of Naples yellow. The base of the cup is also colored yellow.

The plant's stamens are short and yellow, and the anthers have a dull gray-brown shade. The variety is short and is used as an ornamental garden crop. The «Ted Turner» variety is often used in breeding work as a parental form for hybridization.
