Temple's Favourite tulip belongs to the single late tulip class. The plant is tall, reaching a height of 60–70 cm. Flowering occurs from late April to May.
The flowers are characterized by a large size, bright orange coloration with a purple-pink or carmine-red blush and a yellow base. The petals may have a pointed shape and curves. The variety possesses very strong flower stalks resistant to lodging, which allows it to be used for cutting and forcing, as well as in ornamental gardening in flower beds and borders.
