The Majadahonda variety is a clone of field elm (Ulmus minor Mill.), selected in the vicinity of Madrid during the Spanish program for the conservation of Iberian elms. The tree is intended for use in urban landscaping and reforestation due to its decorative qualities and adaptation to urban conditions.

The main characteristic of the variety is its tolerance to Dutch elm disease (Ophiostoma novo-ulmi). The variety is distinguished by later bud break compared to other clones of the species, which reduces the risk of damage to the tree by late spring frosts.
