The variety belongs to the southern highbush blueberry group and is an interspecific hybrid of Vaccinium corymbosum and Vaccinium darrowii. The plant is characterized by a vigorous, upright bush with some spreading and a low chilling requirement of approximately 300 hours.

The ripening period is early, occurring about 60 days after flowering. The variety has high resistance to stem canker, medium resistance to Phytophthora root rot, and low to medium resistance to stem blight. When exposed to extreme heat, the berries are at risk of sunburn.

The fruits are large in size, firm in texture, and have a balanced sweet-sour flavor. A small, dry picking scar contributes to good transportability of the produce. A high concentration of monomeric anthocyanins has been recorded in the berries.
