The plant is a rounded shrub reaching a height of 20-30 to 60-90 cm with a width of 70-120 cm. The lanceolate leaves have a creamy-white margin, the edges of which acquire a purple hue when temperatures drop. The flowering period lasts from late spring to early summer, sometimes continuing until autumn.

The variety prefers sunny locations or partial shade and well-drained soils. The plant has moderate winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures from -5°C to -15°C; therefore, in harsh climates, it requires cover or container cultivation. Major threats include aphids and powdery mildew.
