The Viburnum opulus variety «Ульяна» is the result of breeding work. The fruits of the variety have a weight of 1.24–1.80 g, the weight of the clusters is 109–126 g. The yield of the crop reaches 14–20 t/ha.

The fruits have high juiciness and content of pectin substances, which makes them suitable for the industrial manufacture of juices, fruit drinks, syrups, jelly, and marmalade. The variety is also used in studies of resistance to bacterial leaf spot.
