The plant belongs to the category of mid-late varieties and is characterized by a tall stem. The name of the variety is due to a structural feature: the beans (pods) hang downwards during growth.
The seeds have a light green color and are suitable for consumption at the milky stage of maturity, as well as for freezing or drying. The variety is considered proven and stable for cultivation, preferring fertile, moisture-retentive soils. Early sowing in open ground is recommended.
There is a variation of this variety called Hangdown Biały, which differs in the white color of its seeds.
