The variety is a traditional relic identified during programs for the restoration of local grape gene pools in the regions of Castilla-La Mancha and Aragon. It belongs to technical (wine) varieties and is considered a promising resource for the adaptation of winemaking to climate change.

The plant possesses high vigor and energy even under conditions of limited irrigation. The variety belongs to white grapes; berries are distinguished by a high mass. Research has revealed the presence of specific aromatic precursors in the berries, including unique isomers, which can serve as a varietal marker.

The variety demonstrates adaptability to conditions of water stress and drought. Regarding pathogens, the variety shows a certain response to downy mildew, however, detailed data on the level of immunity or resistance are not provided in available publications.
