Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of the Muscat d’Eisenstadt and Müller-Thurgau varieties. It was previously mistakenly believed that the Gelbe Seidentraube and Gamay früh varieties were involved in its parentage, however, genetic analysis confirmed the true pedigree.
In Germany, the variety is grown mainly in the Rheinhessen region. In England, the grape may be encountered in the form of varietal wines.
