Variety description

The variety is a descendant of a cross between Frontenac gris and MN 1234. The vines possess strong growth and require trellis training. The ripening period is medium to medium-late, occurring at the end of September.

Clusters are medium-sized, cylindrical in shape, and weigh 140–150 g. Berries are small, round, and turn golden upon ripening. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and tolerance to phylloxera; it withstands frosts down to –32...–34 °C.

The chemical composition of the berries is characterized by high sugar content (24–26° Brix) and reduced acidity. The wines are distinguished by aromas of pear, quince, melon, gooseberry, honey, and mineral tones.
