The genetic origin of the rootstock is a hybrid of (Vitis candicans × Vitis rupestris) × (Vitis riparia × Vitis rupestris). It is used as a resistant rootstock for grapevines, providing protection for the root system against nematodes (Meloidogyne spp., Xiphinema index, Pratylenchus vulnus, Tylenchulus semipenetrans) and demonstrating resistance to the grape mealybug Planococcus ficus.

This variety is characterized by moderate vigor; under certain conditions, vines on this rootstock may exhibit weak growth energy. As a rootstock, it is not intended for berry production.
