The variety is a wine hybrid used in winemaking. Its parent forms are Seibel 2859 (Bienvenu) and Seibel 4643 (Roi des noirs). The variety is officially registered in catalogs under the number 11803 Seibel.

Morphologically, the variety is characterized by the presence of medium-density spiderweb pubescence on the tips of young shoots and a reddish tint of the young leaves. The leaf shape is rounded or wedge-shaped. The berries have pink skin, as indicated by the Rs (rose) index in the name.

The variety is classified as resistant, demonstrating increased resistance to fungal diseases compared to a number of classic grape varieties, which allows for a reduction in the use of plant protection products.
