Variety description

The variety is a complex interspecific hybrid, including genetic material of Vitis aestivalis, Vitis cinerea, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The vine has a semi-upright growth habit, and young leaves are reddish in color. Mature leaves are rounded or wedge-shaped, 5- or 7-lobed, with an open V- or U-shaped petiolar sinus.

Berries are round, medium-sized, with firm juicy flesh, gathered in compact clusters. The variety is sensitive to drought and chlorosis, and is susceptible to grey mold. It is used primarily in winemaking and as a genetic resource for breeding other varieties.
