The Minnella bianca variety originates from Sicily, and its name is associated with the elongated shape of the berries. The bunch is medium-sized and has a loose structure. The ripening period is early, and the harvest in the region usually takes place in mid-September.
The grape is a wine variety that is traditionally grown in mixed plantings alongside other local varieties, such as Carricante and Catarratto. Wines based on it are characterized by good acidity, aromas of yellow tropical fruits with notes of cinnamon and anise.
